Solstice

Our Summer Solstice celebration is on 17 June 2017 with a party on the Saturday night with Mark the naked DJ

Spielplatz has a long association with Paganism, particularly with The Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids.

Naturism has a strong association with the sun, so there is a natural joining of two lifestyles, naturist and pagan, to celebrate the longest day of the year, enjoy social naturism, perform some rituals, and hug a few trees.

The Summer Solstice is called Litha, it falls on the longest day of the year, often June 21st. Spielplatz celebrates the solstice by holding a party on the weekend closest to the solstice. We party long into the night by firelight on the lawn in front of our clubhouse. The following day we have a ritual on the lawn in front of our clubhouse to celebrate the Sun and Mother Earth.

The Oak Tree has a special place for both pagans and Spielplatz, our grounds have many ancient Oak trees, many 100s of years old. We hold our celebration in the shade of an Oak.
